How To create Ichikraft Satin Ribbon Poppy Flower?

Poppy flower? Who doesn't love this flower? I like this flower even if I haven't seen it. I saw it when I read a book about nature. So, I design and create it. And this is how we create and design a Poppy flower. You will find out and see how we work behind the screen. Yes, Ichikraft isn't mass production. Every single design or item is unique and special.

1. Step 1 - Create the petals

The material:

• 7 cm of double-faced/ DF green satin ribbon, 2 pieces
• 7,5 cm of double-faced/ DF red satin ribbon, 5 pieces
• 7 cm of double-faced/ DF red satin ribbon, 4 pieces
• guache
• black flower stamens
• black tread

These are what we do:

• Cut and shape the petals like the pictures down below

• Glue 4 pieces of DF red satin ribbon
• Glue 5 pieces of DF red satin ribbon
• Paint the center of Poppy flower with black color (using gouache). Let it dry
• Cut and shape the green satin ribbon into leaves shape. The picture down below

2. Step 2 - Create the center of Poppy flower

• Cut the DF willow DF satin ribbon, round with 3 cm for diameters
• slightly burn the edge
• Stitch around, pull it
• Fill with cotton balls

3. Step 3 - Create the buds and seeds

• 5,5 cm of DF green satin ribbon, 4 pieces
• 4,5 cm of DF red satin ribbon, 6 pieces
• Cotton balls
• Round DF green satin ribbon with 3 cm for diameters, 2 pieces
• wire cover with flower tape

These are what we do to create the Poppy buds:

• Each bud needs 3 pieces of red DF satin ribbon and 2 pieces of green DF satin ribbon
• First, you need to glue at the end of the wire
• Gradually arrange and glue 3 pieces of red DF satin ribbon, then 2 pieces of green DF satin ribbon
• Fill it with cotton balls

4. Step 4 - Arrange/ join all of them

• Attach the center of Poppy flower by gluing
• Arrange the buds and seeds by gluing
• Glue the leaves
• Then cut the felt with a diameter about 3 cm
• Attach the pin by stitching
• Attach the handmade label
• Attach the felt and it done!
