Shidare-Zakura
“Wow…it’s look like in Japan”, that what was my friend said when I sent some pictures of Sakura. Well, Sakura (Cherry Blossom) was blooming a month ago. I went to the Garden By The Bay in March 19, 2016. Yes, Sakura was in full bloom at the time, just two weeks. So I decided to go to see it and watched how beautiful they are.
Sakura is one of the most beautiful flowers. Commonly, we can find them in Japan. All of the people in the world know that Sakura is Japan flower. My friend told me, Sakura have three different varieties, one is call Somei-Yoshino that common Sakura in Japan. When we talk about Sakura, so we refer to this variety. Secondly is Shidare-Zakura that looks like water fall. And third, call it Yae-Zakura that have double petals. All of these varieties are interesting and beautiful.
Of course we felt like in Japan, just like walking around at Japan garden or Japan park, watching Sakura (Cherry Blossom flower) and Plum Blossom flower. But, who knows, we were in the Garden By The Bay Singapore at flower dome. It was nice place and awesome. It was surprised me, we could find red bridge that common in Japan. Well, I like to say “It was a small Japan in Singapore”.
I saw another world when I went at flower dome to see Sakura. Yes, there is one of the ways to know about Japan. I haven’t visited Japan before, but I can learn many things about Japan in this place, Garden By The Bay Singapore, especially about Sakura flower or Cherry Blossom flower. Looking through the window, and see there is another world there.

You can buy a ticket before go at flower dome. You can buy a ticket by online or at the ticket counter. But, I recommend you to buy a ticket by online. How much? For tourist, if you want to visit Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, you pay SGD 28. Yes, we can see Sakura flower at flower dome. Well, since Sakura flower full in bloom, many people will go to see too. Tourist and local people will come at the same time. It is mean, there are very crowded!
When entered at flower dome, for the first time I saw the real Plum Blossom flower. It was a beautiful flower…! Then we walked to see Sakura flower, I called it valley of Sakura. Yes, finally, I found Shidare-Zakura. This variety is unique and looks like waterfall. But, actually many of Sakura trees in the Sakura valley. They have white and pink colours. And all of them were fully bloomed.

For me, flower dome in the Garden By The Bay is an interesting place. I like flowers and plants. So, when I visited this place to see Sakura Flower, I could learn too. There are some of Sakura varieties. And how lucky me, I saw them too by my eyes. It was a nice experience for me as someone who like flowers and plants. Anyway, I couldn’t find Yae-Zakura, the double petals Sakura. But never mind, because all of this view at Sakura valley made me happy.
So, do you want to see Sakura flower (Cherry Blossom flower)? Well, if you have enough budget of course you will go in Japan. But don’t worry if you don’t have enough budget. Because we can visit Garden By The Bay Singapore to see this awesome flower at flower dome. Believe me, you feel like walk around in the Japan park or Japan garden.
